Uljin is the major tourist attraction located on the shore of the East Sea. Amazing Seongnyugul (limestone cave) keeping long history, winding Bulyoungsa valley telling familiar legends, natural spa in Bagam and Deokgu having the highest quality of water in Korea and magnificent sunrise in Mangyangjeong to which King Sukjong granted a stela, 'the first pavilion in Guandong' in his own handwriting. All of these are some of the gifts that Uljin gives its tourists.
In addition, on the right side of Uljin, the 82km stretching coastline of crystal -clean East Sea is swelling with fantastic rocks and oddly shaped stones. And, on its left side, fresh wind and clean water are preserved in sharp and green mountains.
Also, you can taste delicious Uljin Snow crab and pine mushroom, stimulating your appetite. And, anywhere you may visit in Uljin, you can meet familiar and beautiful culture like your home town.
I, as the third elected governor of Uljin, make a serious commitment to myself to give my best to the construction of my home town, Uljin filled with vitality, aiming for stirring open administration, well-off farming and fishing communities, harmonious development and elegant culture.
